Hello Amy and Familia Bencomo! Thanks for visiting my blog http://www.azcookbook.com. You didn’t leave the link to your site, but I still found you:) You have a nice blog! I love Italian food and this seems like the perfect place to try some homemade Italian. I will stop by frequently. Please visit me again, too! Thanks!
So you’re recipes put me to shame….and they look so delicious but I fear I will not often have the pleasure of tasting them as I so rarely take more than an hour to cook anything let alone plan ahead so I have the right ingredients. However, I do enjoy variety and love the idea of experimenting in the kitchen which led me to my accidental & simple Carnitas recipe the other day. I have no idea how to post this on the food section so here it goes:
Pre heat oven to 350.
Cover a pork roast on all sides with salt, garlic powder (lots) and chili powder seasoning. Rub it in with your hands. Add about 1/2 cup to 1 cup water to bottom of pan and cover. My cast iron kettle worked great. Bake for 2 1/2 hours. It comes out crusty on the outside and melts apart in your tortillas. Yum! Make an extra roast at the same time as it never lasts for the next couple of days like you planned.
Bon Apetite!
Lisa
